CoAT Students Participate in No-Shave November

The College of Agriculture and Technology students and faculty members are participating in “No-Shave November” to support Lori Fenner, a faculty member in the CoAT, who was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in July.

At this time there are about 40 students and six faculty members of the College of Agriculture and Technology participating in the on-going event.

Michael Gray visits Arkansas State University

Michael Gray, author and one of the foremost scholars on the music of Bob Dylan, spoke at the Reng Student Union auditorium as part of the 2015-16 Lecture-Concert Series at Arkansas State University. One event from Dylan’s past that Gray spoke on was his bold choice to go from acoustic folk music to electric at the Newport Folk Festival on July 25, 1965. The Lecture-Concert Series brings notable guest speakers and performers of diverse backgrounds and wide appeal to the A-State campus.

AG Fest Returns for A-State Students

The College of Agriculture and Technology ambassadors are hosting an AG Fest on Nov. 2 at 5 p.m. in the ASU Equine Center as an appreciation event for their. There will be free food as well as games such as a tractor pull, obstacle course and a roping contest sponsored by the College of Agriculture and Technology student clubs. The clubs are also selling raffle tickets which will be announced at the AG Fest. The money raised from the raffle ticket sales will benefit the local organization Ag for Autism.

A-State SGA Announces Resolution Ideas

Arkansas State University Student Government Association held a general body meeting in the auditorium of the Reng Student Union to discuss six resolution ideas narrowed down by the staff members. These ideas will affect all A-State students if they were to take effect. After the meeting SGA members were instructed to sign their name next to the resolution that they would like to be a part of.
